horror and the healer

Leeches are among the oldest companions of mankind. horror and the healer explores the traces of this common history.

The evening begins with a leech biting down and ends when it drops again. As the leech absorbs blood from the performer, it is told of the wide-ranging research that explored the intersection, rather than the separateness, of human and animal.

Everything that cannot find a place in the time window given by the leech is archived in a spatial installation.
