fleischlin/meser – THIS IS ME*

THIS IS ME* takes up the current social debates on gender, proposing  that “the norm” is rapidly eroding in favour of an unlimited diversity of lifestyles and identities. Using their personal life stories as examples, FLEISCHLIN/MESER develop two solo performances that create points of contact – between stage and auditorium, between entertainment and intimate confession, between criticism and utopia.

FLEISCHLIN/MESER are interested in non-conformism, in ways of thinking and living beyond the norm. They are convinced that for a new global debate it is urgently necessary to make otherness visible in a way that does not underpin existing misunderstandings but creates points of contact and enables encounters. In their work, they combine research on political/social themes with fragments from the pop culture and the entertainment industry  to create unconventional hybrid evenings.
