GASTSTUBE° (Fleischlin / Galeazzi / Liebmann) – home made climate conference

GASTSTUBE° develops a performative thought forum to discuss – with people, plants, things and other entities – different perspectives on the practical, social and emotional handling of the consequences of the climate catastrophe. At the centre of the discussion is the fundamental questioning of our home-made ecological “performance” and its effects on future life. With the home made climate conference, GASTSTUBE° creates practical spaces for discourse, which allow us to experience the consequences of this crisis both poetically and politically and to develop actions that will enable us to create prospects for a liveable future.

Course of the conference:

Prologue: Exploit
Act 1 : Plants
Act 2 : Non-human biographies
Act 3 : Avowals and confessions

Break with conference buffet

Act 4 : Perspective acting
Act 5 : The Age of transcended Dirt
Epilog: Terrestrial plenum

GASTSTUBE°

The collective of Beatrice Fleischlin, Nicolas Galeazzi and Andreas Liebmann existed from 2001-2007 and practised experimental performance formats, which carried out artistic research with incompleteness as practice and the constant formal variation of found material. Now they are starting a new collaboration in which they explore the fragile possibilities of existence in the ruins of capitalism and work on the possibility of collective survival. They use and develop tools and techniques that allow them to work together at a distance and to cultivate a mindful and resource-conserving practice on different levels (time, relationships, money, fossil resources and more). They also try to share their research and experience in workshops and teachings, so that their projects are always an invitation to develop the future together.
