CapriConnection – TRISTAN ODER ISOLDE. EIN PASTICHE
CapriConnection present a real piece of Bayreuth! In summer 2012 they saved large parts of the stage set from the Bayreuth Marthaler production “Tristan and Isolde” from being scrapped and transferred it to Zurich in a night-and-mist action. The stolen stage space will be recast and the love and Wagner myth will be questioned. Instrumentalized by a Moog synthesizer, a music box, melodica and a bass, the group reinvents the opera with few means. In “Tristan oder Isolde”, CapriConnection tell and sing about longing and passion in a rational world, about the difficulties of finding the right person or the right thing, but also about the social benefits of a relationship between two people and the abuse of romantic feelings by the economy.
