Leonie Graf

Leonie Graf (1987, Meerbusch -DE) lives in Berlin, studied theater directing at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and choreography at the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin. Leonie was a scholarship holder of the “watch&talk-Residenz” at the Theaterfestival Basel, the “Westwinds-Theaterfestival” Cologne and the “Datio-Stiftung” Zurich. The starting point of her choreographic work is the interest in movement of people in spaces and atmospheres. Together with artists with and without disabilities she develops site-specific pieces for adult and young audiences in the independent scene (e.g. Fabriktheater Rote Fabrik Zurich, Schlachthaus Theater Bern, Uferstudios Berlin, Sophiensaele Berlin), at municipal theaters (e.g. Schlosstheater Moers, Theater der Jungen Welt Leipzig) and often at unusual locations (e.g. Großer Windkanal Berlin Adlershof, Sihlpapier Areal Manegg Zurich). A continuous collaboration connects her with Theater HORA Zurich, Meine Damen und Herren Hamburg, choreographer Lea Moro and set designer Nicole Frei. Currently Leonie is a fellow of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe Berlin and works as artistic project manager and curator for the inclusive dance/theater festival for young audiences at Theater der Jungen Welt Leipzig.
