Theater der Peinlichkeit – PLANET SCHOOL

School is an unmanageable place of simultaneity. Different people come together, do and experience the most diverse things. Sometimes it is boring, sometimes inspiring. Sometimes emancipatory, sometimes not at all. Some fall in love, others smoke. It’s about discipline and discipline, about rhythm and learning goals. But also about friendship, love, jealousy, fear and time management, and constantly about the so-called future and how the students* meet it as well armed as possible. School is an experience we all share, it is one of our first experiences of group and society.
“Planet School” is the result of an extraordinary cooperation between the “Theater der Peinlichkeit” and the directors of the Theater of the Kantonsschule Zürich Nord. Together with students*, domestic staff and teachers*, the everyday school life as a cosmos of dependencies and visions is explored and questioned. The “Planet School” can be experienced in an immersive side-specific walk through the building of the Kantonsschule Zürich Nord, designed and performed by the students.
